The Euraxess Services Centre and the Alumni Relations Service are proud to have launch the Alumni X Euraxess mentoring programme, a unique initiative dedicated to the professional development of french and international PhD students and early-career researchers.
Why this programme?
Navigating the research world or transitioning into the private sector can be challenging. This programme connects researchers with experienced mentors from their field to guide them in building a clear career plan. The programme is tailor-made, with each mentee completing a questionnaire about their objectives and expectations, and we then connect them with a mentor who has previously agreed to take part in the programme and who works in the sector and field of their choice.
Programme objectives:
- Clarify career goals: gain a better understanding of opportunities in academia or the private sector ;
- Enhance skills: improve and develop soft skills (communication, leadership, networking) and hard skills tailored to their career path ;
- Expand their professional network: access valuable contacts and discover new opportunities ;
- Prepare for the job market: improve CVs, motivation letter, and adapt to a new work environment.
How does it work?
Duration: 6 months
Regular meetings: each participant (mentee) will have at least one meeting per month with his/her mentor, either in person or online.
Personalised support: mentors share their expertise, advice, and networks to help researchers achieve their goals.
