On the occasion of the International Women's day, Euraxess organised a roundtable about the place of women in academic research.

On the 15th of March, Euraxess Strasbourg organised a roundtable where we discussed the place of Women in research and in Academia, with remarkable female researchers from the University of Strasbourg:

  •  Susan Chan, Research director at the Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology (IGBMC);
  • Emilia Koustova, Lecturer-researcher in Russian civilisation (GEO);
  • Claudia Bonfio, Junior Group Leader at the Institute for Supramolecular Science and Engineering (ISIS);
  • Farah Ramzy, Assistant Professor at the Department of Arabic Studies (GEO);
  • Gwendolyn Gilliéron, Lecturer-researcher at the Faculty of Social Sciences (LinCS).

Our five speakers shared their experiences, the challenges they have faced as women and more specifically as international women in research. They shared their views on inequalities between women and men  in research as well as their personal experiences.
